Description
Summary:The first approach to the concept of conflict and reconciliation between work and family took place in developed countries, at the beginning of the 1970s. After the change of the family reference model in the industrial era - in which the classic family structure predominated - to the new structures developed in recent years, it is when the subject takes an exponential relevance. This article aims to examine the literature on the workfamily conflict, as well as in policies taken by technology-based companies to reconcile conflict and whether these policies improved their productivity. Likewise, it reinforces the vision of the company based on its resources where an internal resource can be a source of sustained competitive advantage. This work is made up of the following way: the first part, the concept of balance, affections, family and its evolution; second, work-family conflict and role, compensation and conflict theories; third, work-family conciliation, as well as some policies that are used; fourth part, methodology, and conclusions.
