Description
Summary:The Partial Discharge (PD) analysis is a very effective way of verifying the electrical insulation condition. However, PD measurements may suffer from high noise levels, which demands an efficient denoising technique. This article presents a performance analysis of three denoising methods for PD processing. The performances were evaluated by numerical parameters considering synthetic and measured PD signals. The results were conclusive and it was possible to state that the highest performance was achieved by the Morphological Component Analysis.
