Abstract Web technology is enhancing day by day. Starting with the static Web 1.0 in the early age of Internet and dynamic Web 2.0 in 2004, traditional systems are computerized and accessed online. Now, we are heading to the new generation of Web applications which is Web 3.0 and it is starting to come to the public's attention. As Web technologies advances, Internet violation also is increasing. In the Malaysian context, the government introduced the Computer Crime Act in 1997 as a measure to control the violation. Internet violation can be categorize into several categories such as email fraud and spamming, misused of multimedia contents such as images and videos and virus and worm attacks through Websites. Email spamming is one of the highest cases reported to CyberSecurity Malaysia. One of the applications in Web 3.0 is the Semantic Email Addressing (SEA) which uses semantic filtering and filing to reduce email spamming. Therefore, this paper proposes SEA as a possible solution to encounter email violation in Malaysia.
