Description
Summary:Sports biomechanics seeks to analyze variables that describe the movements involved in the techniques developed by high performance athletes in different disciplines. Analyzing these variables would be of great help in order to determine the relationship between these, and thus, formulate mathematical models that provide objective information about the mechanics involved in the different methods appropriate for athletes. In this project, we study a group of female basketball players from the Universidad de los Andes, we focused specifically in their throwing mechanics to score a basket from the point of free throw. With the data obtained about the attempts they achieved and those that failed, and the angles that define the behavior of their joints, we aim to determine the characteristic parameters of the own optimal throw and thus, be able to improve their effectiveness through an augmented reality application that provides visual feedback in the form of video.
