Description
Summary:One of the drawbacks in an OFDM system is the high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). Among a number of techniques to reduce the high PAPR, clipping is the simplest and most easily implementable method. Clipping introduces the clipping noise, which affects pilot data as well as information data. As a result, the performance of channel estimation and system decreases due to a nonlinear distortion process. In this paper, the proposed block type pilot protection technique for clipping has the properties, such as distortionless pilot and no side information. And simulation results indicate that the proposed scheme has better BER performance and its complexity decreases.
