Summary: | In All-IP environments, Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF) plays an essential role to meet diverse and dynamic requirements. However, it is likely to be overloaded because it interacts with many other components such as network devices, subscriber databases, and charging systems in real time and in a centralized manner. One of heavy burdens is to manage a network topology where the IP sessions for all end user devices are reflected. In this paper, we propose an IP block based network topology management scheme to reduce the number of management transactions and evaluate its performance. |
