Description
Summary:This paper details the application of Object Linking and Embedding for Process Control (OPC) protocol to implement a supervisory control system for a controllable DER fuelled by producer gas, sharing a common load with a non-controllable DER. The power output of an empirically modelled gas genset has been controlled using a control system in cascade configuration. A user interface has been developed and hardware-in-the-loop simulation of the entire system has been performed.
