Summary: | This paper aims to develop a single-phase grid-connected inverter for photovoltaic modules with high power density and complying with the grid requirements. In order to reduce capacitance and avoid the use of electrolytic capacitors, an active filtering technique is proposed to eliminate the low-frequency ripple in the dc link. Thus, the energy stored in the dc link is reduced without the need for very high impedance, which implies the reduction of overall cost and volume of the capacitive bank. |
