Summary: | Power supply structure of China is constantly changing with the development of the new power system. Thermal power is gradually transformed from the main power supply to flexible regulation source. Thus, the demand for deep peak regulation operation of thermal power units is gradually growing. The existing wide-area measurement system is lack of the monitoring and evaluation of deep peaking operation status. To solve this problem, this paper proposes an online evaluation system for deep peak regulation capacity of thermal power units. With the evaluation method by considering both the flexibility of deep peak regulation and safety of grid-related factors, the system's architecture is established based on the D5000 system, and the functions of online capture, monitoring, evaluation and early warning of the deep peak regulation are realized. The system is deployed and applied in the Northwest Division of State Grid to verify its effectiveness. |
