Abstract | This paper introduces enhancements made to the RELAP/SCDAPSIM/MOD4.1 code, enabling it to effectively simulate advanced nuclear reactor systems employing molten lead as coolant. These modifications include incorporation of the thermophysical properties of pure lead and wall-to-fluid heat transfer correlations into the code. Present paper also illustrates the capabilities of the code in modeling Generation IV reactor systems through an example showcasing the coolant temperature distribution in an ALFRED fuel assembly. |
