Summary: | The objective was to map the available evidence on the effectiveness of team- based learning as a didactic tool used by teachers in health education. The scope review protocol was adopted following the Joanna Briggs Institute methodology and PRISMA-ScR checklist. The research question was formulated according to the PCC acronym: What is the effectiveness of Teambased Learning (concept) developed by teachers (population) in health education (context)? Text search was conducted in four databases. Study selection was performed by two reviewers using the Rayyan software. A total of 59 articles were found in the LILACS, EMBASE, SCOPUS, and SCIELO databases. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, the final sample consisted of 26 articles. The works of the researched authors point to a validation of the effectiveness of team-based learning as a didactic tool used by teachers in health education, considering that this pedagogical strategy is an active teaching and learning methodology favored by adopting strategies that involve team participation and collaboration, preparation and application of concepts, feedback, and peer assessment, requiring students to demonstrate maturity in taking control of their own knowledge and the teacher to assume the role of managing multiple and complex learning experiences.
