Description
Summary:The number of infections by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in young adolescents has been increasing every year. As a consequence, women in premature age are developing precursor and invasive lesions in the cervix. This paper proposes an analysis of the didactic content in high school books approved by the National Program of the Didactic Book of 2018, in relation to the approach of infectious and sexually transmissible diseases associated to the HPV in high schoolers sexual orientation. The criteria and parameters used in the analysis were: scientific language, content contextualization, illustrations and consolidation exercises. The evaluation of the books showed deficiencies in the transmission of information relevant to diseases caused by HPV, in screening for early diagnosis of associated diseases and in primary prevention (vaccination). We would like to stress the importance of sexual orientation conducted by a transversal curricular matrix for the approach of sexual education topics, as the capacitation of teachers and didactic tools indispensable for the development of the sexual life of young adolescents. Key-words: Sexuality; didactic books; HPV.
