Summary: | It was refreshing to see the big controls manufacturers concentrating on the values of their own products, rather than bad-mouthing their competitors', like some did last year. BACnet and LonMark/LonWorks proponents concentrated on spreading the value of their respective communication protocols at the 1999 International Air-Conditioning, Heating, Refrigerating Exposition. More than 10 BACnet-compatible suppliers put together a BACnet in Action demonstration on the show floor. Meanwhile, Echelon and the LonMark Interoperability Association had the nearby E. M. Dirksen Federal Courthouse to tout its interoperable controls network and systems. |
