Description
Summary:A portrait is offered of the structure and the range of outcomes associated with international municipal exchange (IME) as it has been pursued in the countries of the Americas. The study focuses on one particular program sponsored by the Federation of Canadian Municipalities, considered to be a world leader in the field of IME. Within this program, an examination is conducted of the rather diverse set of linkages now existing between Canadian municipalities and their partners located in 6 Latin American countries - Mexico, El Salvador, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, and Brazil.
