Description
Summary:Computational-fluid-dynamics (CFD) techniques applied in detecting cerebral aneursyms aid doctors in prescribing the best treatment method. CFD is a simulation tool long used for predicting fluid flow around aircraft and spacecraft. The technique can calculate blood-flow velocities and wall shear-stress distribution faster and more detailed than the Doppler ultrasound technique. This technique can be used in predicting and solving other blood-flow pathologies.
