[...]Australia's recent win in a trade war against China and the victory of Taiwan "freedom pineapples" perfectly exemplify that cutting the dependence on China is not implausible. While Hong Kong remains a significant global financial center, these new political red lines will certainly influence foreign investment in the town due to the deterioration of judicial independence, declining rule of law, and the risk of further security legislations as Beijing loyalists dominate the legislature.
