Sterilizing male western corn rootworms with gamma radiation (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae)

Male western corn rootworms, Diabrotica virgifera LeConte, were sterilized as 0- to 1-day-old adults by exposure to 2.8 krad of gamma radiation from a cobalt -60 source. This dose did not significantly shorten lifespan.
