Summary:Taxonomy and distribution of Parietaria serbica Panč., P. lusitanica L., P. micrantha Lebed. and P. mauritanica Dur. is briefly discussed. P. serbica is an endemic species of SE. Europe and is related to P. judaica Strand in L. P. lusitanica is divided into two subspecies. P. micrantha is treated as a variety of P. lusitanica subsp. chersonensis (Lang) Chrtek. P. mauritanica is reported as a new species for Sicily.
