Description
Summary:Non-Hodgkin's lymphomas (NHL) are a group of highly diverse malignancies and have a great tendency to affect organs and tissues that normally do not contain lymphoid cells. The objective of the present work is to report the clinical case of patient with NHL from the gastrointestinal tract with oral manifestation. A 40-year-old male sought medical attention due to edema and erythema in the left lower limb that evolved with sudden-onset dyspnea. After an episode of melena, the patient underwent upper digestive endoscopy, which revealed advanced gastric neoplasia and ulceration of the second portion of the duodenum. Histopathologic examination of gastric mucosa showed the presence of gastric lymphoma, MALT type. The patient evolved with multiple tumefactions in the oral cavity, which regressed after cancer chemotherapy. The patient is currently being followed up with no signs of active disease.
