Rare case of a post-traumatic pure obturator dislocation of the hip associated with contralateral femoral neck fracture

Obturator hip dislocations are rare, typically resulting from high-energy trauma. Prompt reduction is critical to avoid complications such as avascular necrosis. This case involves a rare obturator dislocation with a contralateral femoral neck fracture following a workplace accident. A 35-year-old m...

Description
Summary:Obturator hip dislocations are rare, typically resulting from high-energy trauma. Prompt reduction is critical to avoid complications such as avascular necrosis. This case involves a rare obturator dislocation with a contralateral femoral neck fracture following a workplace accident. A 35-year-old male sustained a left obturator hip dislocation and a right femoral neck fracture after being struck by a heavy object. Closed reduction was performed within three hours. Post-reduction imaging confirmed successful realignment without further complications. Early diagnosis and reduction are vital in managing rare obturator dislocations to prevent avascular necrosis, especially in cases with concurrent injuries.
