Baicalein upregulates DDIT4 expression which mediates mTOR inhibition and growth inhibition in cancer cells

Highlights • Baicalein, a natural compound, causes tumor suppression of cancer cells both in vitro and in vivo. • Baicalein upregulates DDIT4 which inhibits mTOR and mediates growth inhibition. • Baicalein is effective in chemotherapy resistant cancer cells.
