Summary:We report the case of a 41-year-old man with acute fulminant myocarditis. The patient went into cardiac standstill immediately after admission and was placed on a percutaneous cardiopulmonary support system. The system remained in place for 302 h, after which the patient recovered from cardiogenic shock without complications and has returned to normal life.
