Summary: | Few educators question the advisability of encouraging students to move beyond recitation of facts to analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating concepts, and to activities that challenge students to think critically and creatively. Rabak-Wagener discusses the need of a relevant school health education in addressing adolescents' emotional and social needs. She suggests several strategies aimed at facilitating student's growth and development, including involving students in creating their projects within a guided framework, providing context, and investigating cross-cultural health practices. |
