Sequence of the Aspergillus niger pyrG gene

A total genomic library was constructed in lambda EMBL4 with partially digested DNA from Aspergillus niger . A clone containing the A. niger pyrG gene was isolated by molecular hybridisation, using the Neurospora crassa pyr4 gene as a probe.
