Description
Summary:Based on the biological assumptions of the logistic and the Bertalanffy models, the paper makes a microscopic analysis to confirm that the Gompertz equation is the expectational model for tumor growth, which had been asserted by Steel in 1977 (Growth of Kinetic Tumors, Oxford University Press) but could hardly be verified experimentally. It is also known that the logistic and the Bertalanffy equations are two deviated models in the two sides of the expectational model and the logisitic is too biased to be a good model.
