Summary:Chronic eosinophilic pneumonia was diagnosed in a 26-year-old woman, based on the characteristic peripherally distributed pulmonary infiltrates, eosinophilia, and relatively severe symptomatology. Her disease responded well to corticosteroid therapy. Computed tomography examination demonstrated mediastinal lymphadenopathy and peculiar, vertically oriented platelike infiltrates.
