Description
Summary:The recent advances in human gene mapping have been largely due to the development of interspecies cell hybrids containing human chromosomes and their fragments. The importance of characterized panels of these hybrid lines has grown exponentially with the application of recombinant DNA technologies to human genetics. In this article, we discuss current strategies employed in the construction of somatic cell hybrid mapping panels.
