Description
Summary:Fuses may in the future enter into the DC link of voltage-source converters and the harmonic power losses prediction in fuses is very important for the manufacturers in order to predict lifetime and protection level of the converter. The DC-link current has a high harmonic content for an inverter that uses any kind of space-vector modulation strategy. The aim of this paper is to find a useful approximation for the AC resistance of a fuse and to predict the harmonic power losses in it when it is fed from an inverter.
