Summary: | Different clinical entities are associated with elongation of the styloid process or ossification of the stylohyoid ligament. Although partial ossification of the stylohyoid ligament is not uncommon, complete ossification is rare. We present a rare case of complete ossification of the stylohyoid ligament. This case may represent the extreme end of the spectrum of entities known as cervicopharyngeal pain syndrome, which includes Eagle's syndrome, stylohyoid syndrome, and pseudostylohyoid syndrome.
