Investigation of four-arm Archimedean spiral antennas with a built-in balun for balanced multi-mode operations in GPS applications
ABSTRACT Multi‐mode four‐arm Archimedean spiral antennas, backed by partially‐filled absorber, are investigated. Summary: | ABSTRACT
Multi‐mode four‐arm Archimedean spiral antennas, backed by partially‐filled absorber, are investigated. A low‐profile structure with an embedded balun is realized to produce balanced spiral modes for both broadside and conical radiation patterns over GPS frequency bands. Prototype antennas are developed and measured results are in excellent agreement with computed ones. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 58:762–767, 2016 |
