The continuous Poincare-like cell mapping method and its application to nonlinear dynamics analysis of a bearing–rotor system
Based on the idea of continuous cell mapping, an improved Poincare-like cell mapping method is developed. This method can be used for global analysis of nonlinear dynamic systems without missing the periodic solutions and the domains of attraction. A bearing–rotor system is analyzed by using this me...

Summary: | Based on the idea of continuous cell mapping, an improved Poincare-like cell mapping method is developed. This method can be used for global analysis of nonlinear dynamic systems without missing the periodic solutions and the domains of attraction. A bearing–rotor system is analyzed by using this method, and the influences of initial conditions on transient movement are discussed in detail. |
