Description
Summary:A procedure is developed for calculating criteria for estimation and evaluation of chemical and structural micro-inhomogeneity of ferroalloy production melts. Models are proposed for predicting semi-empirical models of physical and chemical properties as well as thermophysical properties of standard ferroalloys. The duration of melting ferroalloys FeMn78, FeSi65, and MnSi17 with a different main element content is studied numerically with the aim of improving the efficient use of ferroalloys during extrafurnace deoxidation and alloying of steel.
