Description
Summary:This work investigates current transport characteristics of soldered lap joints of YBCO coated conductors with Cu stabilizers subjected to repeated uni-axial tensile stresses in the longitudinal direction. Data of influence of repeated stresses on transport characteristics clearly show fatigue effect causing damages in YBCO layer. From experimental data, it is considered that the damages occur in edge areas of lap joint sections where stresses are concentrated.
