Abstract | Plasticized HCBS based on quartz sands exhibit thixotropic-dilatant flow and a certain plasticity in contrast to the typical dilatant flow. This behavior is provided by introducing additives of highly disperse refractory clay and highly disperse molten quartz contained in waste of production of centrifugally cast quartz ceramics. The effect of the pH, the temperature, and the volume fraction of the solid phase of the HCBS on their properties is described. |
