Description
Summary:Osteoid osteoma is a benign bone tumor that rarely localizes in the hand or the carpal bones. We report two cases of osteoid osteoma localized in two different carpal bones. Unremitting wrist pain was a major clinical symptom. Surgical treatment including excision of the nidus was dramatically curative. In young patients, osteoid osteoma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of chronic wrist pain.
