Kinetic studies at room temperature of the cyanide anion CN − with cyanoacetylene (HC 3N) reaction

Rate coefficient of the cyanide anion (CN −) with cyanoacetylene (HC 3N) reaction, has been studied in gas phase at room temperature using a Flowing Afterglow Langmuir Probe – Mass Spectrometer (FALP–MS) apparatus. The rate constant for the CN − + HC 3N reaction is k = 4.8 × 10 −9 cm 3/s with an unc...

Description
Summary:Rate coefficient of the cyanide anion (CN −) with cyanoacetylene (HC 3N) reaction, has been studied in gas phase at room temperature using a Flowing Afterglow Langmuir Probe – Mass Spectrometer (FALP–MS) apparatus. The rate constant for the CN − + HC 3N reaction is k = 4.8 × 10 −9 cm 3/s with an uncertainty of 30%.
