Description
Summary:The effects of finite temperature on a two-dimensional electron gas (2DEG) in the presence of a tilted dc magnetic field are studied. The depolarization induced by a tilted field is analyzed and its influence on the transport and thermodynamical properties of the system is investigated. We analyze the behavior of the chemical potential, free energy, magnetic susceptibility and magnetization as a function of the intensity and direction of an externally applied dc magnetic field at different temperatures. Numerical results are obtained for the Hall conductivity for densities around 10 12 cm - 2 and magnetic field smaller than 200 kG.
