Description
Summary:In this paper, we consider the problem of performability of a class of multistage interconnection networks, namely, the Clos network. Performability in the context of this paper is defined as a metric that combines measures like performance and availability of gracefully degradable fault-tolerant multiprocessor systems. The analysis includes nonuniform traffic patterns. Various configurations of Clos systems are studied. The results are compared and discussed.
