Low temperature plasma carburizing of martensitic stainless steel

The present work reports results of successful low temperature plasma carburizing of martensitic stainless steel carried out in dc abnormal glow discharge. Very promising results are presented, which are confirmed by microstructural analysis, XRD and microhardness profiles of the treated samples.
