What's in a giant cell? A case of metastatic sarcomatoid pleomorphic carcinoma with osteoclast‐like giant cells involving the thyroid
We present a case of sarcomatoid pleomorphic carcinoma with osteoclast‐like giant cells metastatic to the thyroid, followed by a discussion of the different pathologic entities to consider when encountering giant cells, a common component of many thyroid FNA specimens.
