Description
Summary:Six compounds including the new monoterpene 5 R -hydroxy-2,3,6-trimethylcyclohepta-2,6-dien-1-one ( 1 ) and the five compounds ( 2 – 6 ) identified as 2 α ,5 β -dihydroxy- β -pinene ( 2 ), 4-hydroxyacetophenone ( 3 ), syringaldehyde ( 4 ), 5-hydroxy-4-isopropylfuran-2(5 H )-one ( 5 ), and chenopanone ( 6 ) were isolated from the aerial part of Artemisia austriaca and from this plant for the first time. Their molecular formula and chemical structures were established.
