Description
Summary:The features of premicellar aggregation in aqueous solutions of sodium n -octyl, n -nonyl, and n -decyl sulfonate, as well as sodium n -dodecyl sulfate, at a constant ionic strength maintained by adding NaCl are studied by potentiometry using modified ion-selective electrodes reversible with respect to the ions of these surfactants. For the studied surfactants, the critical micelle concentrations are refined, the compositions of the products of premicellar aggregation are determined, and the stability constants of aggregates are evaluated.
