Summary: | The clinical future of hematopoietic growth factors appears promising. They will probably achieve broad clinical application in a wide variety of hematologic disorders. Their use in infectious diseases associated with granulocytopenia and in cancer-treatment regimens as adjuvant agents against myelosuppression and perhaps as stimulants of the natural anti-cancer effects of host cells also seems appropriate. |
