Summary: | Of patients who developed end-stage renal disease secondary to sickle cell anemia (SCA), some have undergone renal transplantation with reasonable success. The evaluation of his renal dysfunction revealed multiple features to support recurrence of sickle cell nephropathy as the cause for the deterioration. |
