Description
Summary:Evidence that bleaching and errant shore divers are worsening the coral reef ecosystem in Vanuatu is discussed, focusing on the US Army dump known as Million Dollar Point and the sunken former troop carrier USS Pres Coolidge. Local eco-friendly operators could better educate and supervise their divers, as then, diving could be carried out in a manner safe for visitors and the environment alike, giving the reefs the best chance to recover from bleaching and withstand future disturbances.
