Description
Summary:Considering the encouraging results of PVP in traumatic fractures and the surgically high risk in older patients, we proposed this minimally invasive procedure to obtain an improvement in the patient’s quality of life. In this case, transoral PVP obtained an adequate cementation, achieving immediate and complete pain relief, stabilization of the vertebra and quality of life improvement. Long-term follow-up demonstrated stable and complete pain regression with full-functional articulation and the radiological evaluation showed sealing of the fracture with bone integration of PMMA.
