Volatile chemical germination stimulators of rust and other fungal spores
This review compiles from the literature the fungal species whose spores are stimulated to germinate by specific volatile compounds and discusses briefly the physical and chemical attributes common to these volatile substances and their interactions with environmental factors to augment germination.
