Heterocyclization of Fullerene with Trifluoromethanesulfonamide

Fullerene C 60 reacted with trifluoromethanesulfonamide, N , N -dichlorotrifluoromethanesulfon­amide, or N -(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imino-λ 3 -iodane in the presence of N -iodosuccinimide to give N -(trifluoro­methane­sulfonyl) aza[60]fulleroid as the only product.
