Summary: | A new projection operator method combined with the coherent potential approximation is presented. The theory interpolates between the strong- and the weak-Coulomb interaction limits, and allows us to calculate the momentum dependence of the self-energy. Numerical results for the case of infinite dimensions indicate that it can describe quantitatively the quasi-particle properties of a system. |
