Precision measurements of hyperfine splitting of optical lines by resonance laser spectroscopy

Precision measurement of hyperfine splitting of optical lines in atom or ion spectra is discussed. An experimental measurement technique based on laser resonance excitation of the investigated lines is described.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
